Health and Social Care
The Grange School is pleased to offer Health and Social Care, a course designed for parents of secondary-age students in the UK. This course will provide you with knowledge and understanding of how health and social care services work together to support individuals across different needs and life stages. Students will explore key concepts such as wellbeing, safeguarding, and the roles of professionals within health and social care settings.
Through engaging learning activities, learners develop practical understanding of how care is planned, delivered, and reviewed. This course will provide you with knowledge and understanding of the importance of communication, person-centred approaches, and ethical practice. Students will also consider how factors such as age, disability, mental health, and social circumstances can affect access to support and outcomes for individuals and families.
We encourage students to build confidence in discussing real-world issues and to develop transferable skills that support future study and employment. This course will provide you with knowledge and understanding of current legislation and guidance that influence care provision in the UK. By the end of the course, students will be better prepared to make informed decisions, respect diversity, and recognise the value of teamwork in supporting safe, effective care.
